ABOUT

Cecilia “Celie” brings nearly three decades of experience and a deep understanding of how the body moves, heals, and adapts. Known for her thoughtful, individualized care, she takes time to listen, identify the root cause of symptoms, and guide patients toward meaningful, lasting recovery.

She earned her degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and holds a strong academic foundation in kinesiology. Cecilia is also a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT)—a credential that reflects advanced expertise in treating conditions of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder.

BACKGROUND AND PHILOSOPHY OF CARE

Her clinical background includes extensive work in orthopedics, sports medicine, pediatrics, and neurological rehabilitation. She accompanies Melinda Halford at Front Porch PT working at Melinda’s former clinic in Asheville, Skyland Physical Therapy, for 15 years prior to joining Melinda at Front Porch Physical Therapy. Throughout her career, Cecilia has worked with a wide range of patients—from athletes and injured workers to individuals recovering from complex upper extremity conditions—always with a focus on restoring function and confidence.

Celie believes there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to healing. Her care is rooted in evidence-based practice, patient education, and a whole-person perspective. She is passionate about helping patients understand their bodies and empowering them with the tools they need to return to the activities they love.
